Role Summary In this role, you will be part of the Cloud Connectivity & Telematics team, responsible for architecting and building highly scalable, robust and efficient front end applications powered by GraphQL, for both internal and user facing vehicle applications, that orchestrate connectivity configuration, onboarding and diagnostics, optimize global connectivity costs, surface various vehicle connectivity insights & anomalies and bring new features to our users.
Responsibilities - Work autonomously, taking ownership of decision-making
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable web applications for RV Tech’s Connectivity platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate designs into functional prototypes, architect the corresponding GQL layer and deliver intuitive user interfaces.
- Drive and implement best practices in frontend engineering, including performance optimization and testing.
- Design scalable, efficient and robust GraphQL solutions to power the front end.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to frontend functionality.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience, Preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with full-stack software development
- Knowledge and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript & GQL
- Strong Proficiency in frontend development using ReactJS, Redux, NPM
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL interfaces and experience integrating with backend services.
- Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic development environment.
Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $146,900 - $183,600 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
