A school district in Moreno Valley, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support their special education team on a contract basis. This floating SLP position plays a vital role in providing speech and language assessments and intervention services across multiple grade levels, ensuring that students receive timely and effective support.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs
Provide direct speech therapy services to students at any grade level
Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Manage caseload efficiently while floating between multiple schools or classrooms as assigned
Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations

Qualifications and experience:

Valid CA Speech-Language Pathology license or certification
Experience working in school settings with diverse student populations
Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment protocols, and intervention strategies
Ability to adapt to changing assignments and work flexibly across multiple locations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

This position offers approximately 32.5 hours per week and is expected to run at least through Christmas, with a strong likelihood of continuing for the entire school year. A 0.75 healthcare/communication allowance will be provided.

Location: Moreno Valley, CA, with possible assignments in Temecula, CA.
