We are looking for a detail-oriented International Operations Specialist to join our Air Exports team. The person in this role will be responsible for a broad range of tasks encompassing cradle to grave air export operations. Scope of work includestaking in customer shipment requests, negotiating rate with overseas agents and US-based carriers to meet the needs of the customer, and ensuring that on-time delivery targets are met. This includes but is not limited to:
• Building relationships with overseas agents to ensure price and time constraints are known and met
• Building relationships with US air and sea carriers to ensure price and time constraints are known and met
• Initiating contact with new agents and vendors as needed to ensure the above
• Monitoring inland transit in conjunction with Logistics Plus inland freight department
Beyond the operational responsibilities of international freight, the International Operations Specialist is also tasked with updating the customer on the status of their shipments daily, as well as reaching out to customers to ensure all their requirements are being met and they are being well taken care of on an ongoing basis. Strong interpersonal skills are required, and customer relationships are expected.
An International Operations Specialist has broad-ranging authority over their customers’ shipments and covers a variety of job functions and specialties in the course of his/her work. The position requires a well-rounded individual with a strong grasp of finance, customer relations, and detailed record keeping.

• Must be able to manage multiple projects at once.

• Ability to think independently.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties, as required to meet the needs of our client.
