The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure. Essential functions include maintaining a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients; acknowledging and greeting guests within five feet; using guest last names during interactions; using salutation of the day and welcoming guests; practicing proper Towne Park phone etiquette; parking and retrieving vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage; opening all vehicle and hotel doors for guests; assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; providing guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivering messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttling guests to approved places; explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures; issuing claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collecting claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; completing and maintaining all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt; calculating and collecting revenue for vehicles when needed. The job requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, one month related experience or equivalent, knowledge of customer service principles, and various skills including reading, writing, basic math, and ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable. Physical demands include ability to talk, hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally. Work is mostly outdoors and may involve exposure to extreme weather. Travel up to 5% may be required.
