We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! You will install and repair alarm wiring and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage CCTV accounts including installation and maintenance.
• Climb ladders from 6'-25'.
• Perform service/installation of access control, intrusion alarm and CCTV cameras and other security-related devices.
• Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as adding card readers, cameras, and alarm points to any system.
• Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing systems and/or equipment.
• Consult with customers regarding system needs; prepare estimates and customer proposals.
• Coordinates, trains, leads, and oversees activities of security and alarm technician crews.
• Installs and maintains fire, security, alarm, and special systems.
• Programs and maintains equipment and systems including fire alarm, intrusion detection, video surveillance, asset protection, environmental detection, holdup/duress, integrated systems, and equipment related to the alarm monitoring station.
• Maintains records of work performed.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Occasional on call and weekend overtime available if desired
• Install new alarms and troubleshooting issues if needed
• Perform routine maintenance on existing alarms and equipment if needed (replace switches, replace batteries in alarm system)
• Troubleshoot issues with existing equipment such as alarms, power supplies, etc. (replace switches, replace batteries in alarm system)
• Maintain records of work performed accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
